GENERAL INFORMATION / GEOGRAPHY

TIGAON is located in the eastern part of Camarines Sur with a total land area of 10,988 hectares. It is 44 kilometers Northeast of Naga City and 492 kilometers South of Manila. A large portion of the town is plain or flat while six (6) out of 23 barangays are gently sloping to rolling areas located at Mt. Isarog with slopes of 18-30%.

Tigaon is the next tourist destination with its mountain resort in Consocep down to its beach resorts in Casuna and Ranso, Huyonhuyon which is only one kilometer away from Nato Port. Consocep has existing facilities which were constructed and undertaken by the Department of Tourism and Provincial Government and is now being visited by local and foreign tourists. It is 1,800 feet above sea level and dubbed as little Baguio because of its cool temperature. It is forested with rain forest, rare bird species, flora, fauna and many more. A visit to Tigaon is not complete without seeing the natural beauty of Consocep overlooking the tranquil Pacific Ocean, It has three water falls, Tumagithi falls, kawa-kawa and Bulalakaw falls. There are proposed projects in Consocep which compliments existing facilities like tourist inns, natural swimming pools and the reconstruction of rest houses.

Along the Pacific Ocean, the beaches of Casuna and Ranso Huyonhuyon are now being developed privately to cater the local and foreign guests. This is now passable with a spillway-bridge constructed in Ranso connecting the towns of Tigaon and Sagñay leading to Nato Port.
